Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Digital Nomad Studio ("we", "us") and govern your use of the TeamRelay iOS app and this website. By downloading or using TeamRelay, you agree to them. If you get TeamRelay from the App Store, Apple's standard terms also apply to the purchase.
1. What TeamRelay is
TeamRelay lets one person speak to a group while each listener reads and hears the message in their own language. Speech recognition, translation and playback run on the participants' devices, and sessions connect over local WiFi or Bluetooth.
2. Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use TeamRelay on Apple devices that you own or control, in line with these terms and the App Store rules. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app, and you may not reverse-engineer it except where the law allows this despite these terms.
3. Free tier and subscriptions
- Free. Use TeamRelay with one listener per session, at no cost.
- Standard. A monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription that allows up to three listeners per session, plus voice selection and custom branding.
- Business. Unlimited listeners per session, available as an auto-renewing subscription in the app or as a licence sold directly to organisations.
Subscriptions are billed through your App Store account. They renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in your App Store account settings. Prices may change; if they do for your subscription, you'll be notified as required by the App Store, and continued renewal counts as acceptance. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's policies. If a subscription lapses, sessions simply return to the Free tier limits; people already connected to a live session are not disconnected.
4. Acceptable use
Use TeamRelay only where you may lawfully do so, and don't use it to harass, deceive, or harm others, to violate others' privacy, or to interfere with networks or devices you don't have permission to use. You are responsible for what you say and broadcast in a session.
5. Translations are automatic
Translations and transcriptions are produced by on-device machine models. They are usually good, but they can be wrong, incomplete, or oddly phrased. TeamRelay must not be relied on where a mistranslation could cause harm, including medical, legal, financial, emergency, or safety-critical communication. Always confirm anything important.
6. Your content
Whatever you say or share in a session is yours. We never receive it, and we claim no rights over it. Logos or branding you add must be yours to use; you're responsible for having those rights.
7. Our property
The TeamRelay app, name, logo, design, and this website are our property (or that of our licensors) and are protected by intellectual-property law. These terms don't give you any right to use our branding.
8. The service is provided "as is"
To the extent permitted by law, TeamRelay is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of translations, and uninterrupted operation. Connectivity depends on your devices and local environment.
9. Limitation of liability & Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability for breach of a consumer guarantee can be limited, it is limited, at our option, to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
Otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from your use of TeamRelay, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Ending or changing the service
You can stop using TeamRelay at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, and we may modify or discontinue features. We may update these terms from time to time; the effective date above will change, and material changes will be flagged in the app or on this site. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts, unless the consumer-protection law where you live gives you rights to bring claims locally, in which case those rights are unaffected.
